About

  Darren has been turning since 2007, initially just as a hobby, but now full time since 2018, living, working and selling from his premises Art & Craft in Wood at 117 High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR32 1HN

He has won numerous awards and accolades for his work, both in the UK and abroad. He has been profiled twice in 'Woodturning' magazine issues 315 & 397, he is on the Register of Professional Turners, and on its committee and sub committees.  He is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Turners, one of the oldest Livery Companies in the United Kingdom, receiving its Royal Charter from James 1st in 1604. 

He is on the committee of several woodturning clubs, and teaches and demonstrates all over the UK and abroad. See the Tuition and Demonstrating page for more details.
